Privacy policy
We handle your data with the same discretion as the circumstances that bring you to us. This page explains what we collect, why, and for how long.

Controller
Service Funéraire Amshimi Sàrl, En Budron H 7, 1052 Le Mont-sur-Lausanne, Switzerland. E-mail: [email protected] — Telephone: +41 78 825 79 01.
What we collect
We collect only what you send us of your own accord:
- Contact form: name, e-mail address, telephone number (optional), subject and the content of your message.
- Authorisation form: the first name and surname of the deceased, place of birth, date of death, together with the name, full address, telephone number and, optionally, e-mail address of the client or next of kin giving the authorisation.
- Server logs: the web server records the IP address and the date and time of access for security and operational reasons.
Data concerning a deceased person
The authorisation form necessarily contains information about the person who has died. It is strictly limited to what the authorities, consulates and airlines require in order to permit the transfer, and is used for no other purpose.
Purposes and legal bases
We process this data to answer your enquiries, prepare the necessary documents and carry out the funeral service agreed.
The legal basis is performance of the contract or pre-contractual measures, together with compliance with our legal obligations. Processing is subject to the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, for people resident in the European Union, to the GDPR.
Recipients
Data sent through the forms reaches us by e-mail at [email protected].
It is not sold, rented or used for advertising. It is passed to third parties only where carrying out the service requires it — the Swiss authorities, civil registry offices, consulates and embassies, airlines, partner funeral directors in the destination country and, where applicable, the mosque concerned — or where the law obliges us to.
Carrying out a repatriation inherently involves transferring data to the destination country, which may lie outside Switzerland and the European Union.
How long we keep it
Contact enquiries are kept for as long as is needed to deal with them. Documents relating to work carried out are kept for as long as statutory retention obligations require, and are then deleted.
If a message cannot be sent — when our mail provider is unreachable, for instance — a copy of it is kept on our server so that your enquiry is not simply lost, and is deleted after 30 days. It is stored where the web cannot reach it and is read only in order to deliver the message that failed.
Cookies and analytics
This site sets no cookies, uses no analytics tools, and does not track you across sites.
Typefaces are served from our own server: displaying these pages sends no request to any external service.
The one exception is the anti-abuse check on the two pages carrying a form, described below.
Anti-abuse protection on the forms
The contact form and the authorisation form are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, a service of Cloudflare, Inc. that tells people apart from automated programs. Without it our inbox would fill with automated messages and genuine enquiries would be lost among them.
When those two pages load, your IP address and technical information about your browser are transmitted to Cloudflare, which may store technical information on your device solely for the purpose of this check. That data is used only to distinguish human visitors from bots; it is not used for advertising and not used to follow you from one site to another.
The check does not load on any other page of this site. If you would rather not use it, call us or write to us directly at [email protected].
The map on the contact page
The contact page embeds a map provided by OpenStreetMap. When it loads, your IP address is transmitted to the OpenStreetMap Foundation. If you would rather it were not, simply do not scroll as far as the map, or find our contact details on another page of the site.
Security
The site is served exclusively over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access. No transmission over the internet, however, can be guaranteed entirely secure.
For anything particularly sensitive or urgent, a telephone call remains the safest and fastest route.
Your rights
Within the limits of applicable law, you may at any time:
- ask for access to the data we hold about you;
- ask for it to be corrected where it is inaccurate;
- ask for it to be deleted, where no legal obligation prevents this;
- object to processing, or ask for it to be restricted.
Contact and complaints
For any question about your data, write to [email protected] or call +41 78 825 79 01.
You also have the right to contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), Feldeggweg 1, 3003 Bern.
Changes
This policy may be adapted if our services or the legal framework change. The version published on this page is the one that applies.
