Rules

  • The insurance covers the arrangement, preparation and transport of deceased members of your mosque and of members of their families.
  • Mosques wishing to benefit from this insurance offered by the Amshimi funeral service must meet the criteria for application, so that an agreement can be concluded providing for a list of their members — surname, first name and address — to be submitted, and so that the insurance contract is as complete as possible.
  • Those wishing to join the Amshimi funeral service whose mosque was previously covered by another funeral insurance must have the earlier contract deposited in order to obtain full membership.

How do you join the insurance offered by the Amshimi funeral service?

  • For every member registered with the Amshimi funeral service, everything necessary is taken care of in the event of death, from the ritual washing through to repatriation, in accordance with Islamic principles and rules.
  • You must first be a member of a mosque and up to date with your contributions there, since the Amshimi funeral service was designed above all to support the mosque and to ease the procedures and ceremonies of burial.
  • A mosque affiliated to the Amshimi funeral service pays an annual contribution of CHF 50 per member, individually or as part of the collective arrangement.
  • From the day of payment, the husband, the wife and children up to the age of 21 are covered and receive all the benefits of the funeral service.
  • Children over the age of 21 who are in employment must pay their own membership at the mosque, including the funeral insurance of CHF 50, in their own name.
